Quartzite

Quartzite

Quartzite emerges as a metamorphic rock originating from Sandstone, characterized by its dense composition and natural Quartz grain content. The formation of Quartzite occurs when Sandstone undergoes a transformative process upon encountering deeply buried magma on the Earth's surface.

Renowned for its remarkable strength, density, and hardness, Quartzite is particularly prized for kitchen countertop installations. Its veining and color palette closely resemble Marble, yet it boasts significantly greater resistance to everyday chemicals. While not entirely impervious, the abrasion resistance and enduring durability of Quartzite make it suitable for a wide range of applications. For Quartzites with a honed finish, proper sealing is recommended.
